Deep Sea Fishing
Deep Sea Fishing Portimão Algarve – This technique is practiced at a certain depth, using dead bait, enabling the capture of certain species of fish e.g. Wreck Fish, Black Spot Sea Bream, Red Sea Bream and Glass Eye, among others. For this activity a traditional hand line may be used, or the modern rod and reel.

The departure is from Portimão Marina and the trip can be made either eastwards towards Faro, or westwards towards Sagres. The fishing takes place between these two geographical points as this vast area offers good fishing grounds because of the natural rocks and sand, and climatic conditions.
To practice this type of fishing the craft has to travel a minimum of 10 miles and up to 20-25 miles from the coast, depending on the time of the year.
There will be time for a light meal, previously arranged, before the return to Portimão Marina.

The craft is moored in Portimão Marina from where all our activities commence. In the western Algarve there are other points of disembarkation, but this option is only available by private arrangement.
