Big Game Fishing
Big Game Fishing Portimão Algarve – This type of fishing uses natural or artificial lures (dead or live bait is used to make a natural lure) enabling the capture of big fish e.g. Blue and White Marlin, and Bluefin Tuna. The dead bait lures and artificial lures are pulled behind the moving craft (known as trolling), the live bait lures are dropped from the stationary craft.

In this activity you can choose one of the three options:
1) Using rods with dead bait or artificial lures pulled behind the moving craft. As these fish are found in the deep sea, the craft may travel 20-25 miles away from the coast.
2) For the fishing of Tuna and Swordfish the live bait has to be caught first. The craft will then stop at a distance of 20-25 miles from the coast to practice this type of deep sea fishing.
3) We shall implement the Greenstick Practice – a technique used in the U.S.A. for Big Game Fishing.

The craft is moored in Portimão Marina from where all our activities commence. In the western Algarve there are other points of disembarkation, but this option is only available by private arrangement.
